BA Seminar - April 12, 2008
The Brownfield Action Seminar was held Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Barnard College. Alice, Ryan, Peter Bower, and Diane Dittrick gave presentations and guided instruction on the use of the BA simulation in Bower's Introduction to Environmental Science course to a variety of faculty from other high ed institutions as well as secondary school teachers. Our faculty partners, Profs. Doug Thompson of Connecticut College, Art Kney of Lafayette College, and Saugata Datta of Georgia College and State University also presented, discussing their tailored use of BA at their respective institutions.
It was very encouraging to see the enthusiasm and positive response from all participants last Saturday and hear their ideas for using Brownfield in their courses.
This BA Seminar was funded by a special NITLE (National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education) Eastern Advisory Council grant which awarded Barnard College funds to organize and implement the seminar.
