  BA Seminar - April 13-14, 2012 Brownfield Action is the only SENCER model curriculum/simulation that has been disseminated to such a degree. The main goals of this seminar are to develop a plan for writing a journal article authored by all the current users of the BA simulation and to connect the BA user homepages of the website to this effort.  Participants

  BA Workshop - February 12, 2011 Worshop focused on ways to incorporate the simulation into existing curricula.    BA Seminar - December 4-5, 2009  Another round of the Brownfield Action Seminar was held on Friday December 4th-5th, 2009 at Barnard College. CCNMTL and Barnard staff gave presentations and guided instruction on the use of the BA simulation at Barnard to a variety of faculty from other high ed institutions as well as secondary school teachers. New participating institutions and courses now include Hofstra, Long Island University, a high school environmental science course at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan taught by a former Barnard student, and Kansas State University (spearheaded by faculty partner, Saugata Datta). A representative from the NYC Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation was also in attendance. Participants

  BA Seminar - April 12, 2008 The Brownfield Action Seminar was held Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Barnard College. Alice, Ryan, Peter Bower, and Diane Dittrick gave presentations and guided instruction on the use of the BA simulation in Bower's Introduction to Environmental Science course to a variety of faculty from other high ed institutions as well as secondary school teachers. Our faculty partners, Profs. Doug Thompson of Connecticut College, Art Kney of Lafayette College, and Saugata Datta of Georgia College and State University also presented, discussing their tailored use of BA at their respective institutions. It was very encouraging to see the enthusiasm and positive response from all participants last Saturday and hear their ideas for using Brownfield in their courses. This BA Seminar was funded by a special NITLE (National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education) Eastern Advisory Council grant which awarded Barnard College funds to organize and implement the seminar.
